01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled in the vibrant heart of Berlin’s Charlottenburg district, Aroma offers an authentic Chinese culinary experience that has won the hearts of both locals and visitors alike. Located conveniently on Kantstraße, Aroma invites diners to explore a menu rich with time-honored flavors, delivering dishes that balance tradition with a fresh modern touch.

The restaurant’s cuisine is unmistakably Chinese, with a standout dim sum selection that draws particular praise. The filled Tofu Dim Sum is a delightful highlight — its silky texture and flavorful filling create an irresistible bite that melts in your mouth. Equally enticing is the fried beef noodle, a comforting dish with tender strips of beef and perfectly stir-fried noodles wrapped in savory goodness. Aroma also offers specialties like the radish cake, served deep-fried for a crunchy exterior that contrasts with its soft, savory interior; though some find it a bit heavier, it remains a dish worth tasting. Don’t miss the grilled pig belly, a crowd favorite celebrated for its smoky, succulent richness — a dish that’s been called “a must-do” by many loyal patrons.

The sensory journey at Aroma is enhanced by attentive service and a warm, bustling atmosphere. Even under current health measures, the restaurant has adapted beautifully by placing tables outside, allowing guests to enjoy their meals al fresco while soaking in the lively street ambiance of Kantstraße. Inside, the space hums with a casual yet welcoming energy that makes every meal feel like a shared celebration of flavorful cuisine.

What truly sets Aroma apart is the consistent authenticity of their dishes. Diners repeatedly commend the freshness of ingredients, like the crisp and perfectly seasoned water spinach and morning glory, which add exciting textural contrasts and bright flavors to meals. Even after years, regulars find themselves returning for the familiar comfort of favorites, drawn by both the mouthwatering food and the friendly, passionate staff who make every visit special.

Whether you're indulging in delicate har gow and siu mai dim sum or savoring the complex layers of flavor in the salt and pepper tofu, Aroma stands as a true gem for those seeking genuine Chinese cuisine in Berlin. Its excellent price-to-quality ratio means you can delight in rich tastes without stretching your budget, making it a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Asian flavors served with genuine heart.

In short, Aroma offers a vibrant, textured dining experience that feels both grounded in tradition and warmly inviting. It’s an essential stop for food lovers eager to explore the depth and diversity of Chinese flavors right in the middle of Berlin.

The food was good and the service very friendly. Now due to Corona measures they place a lot of tables outside. The filled Tofu Dim sum was delicious and fried Noodle with beef was also very good. Radish Cake was deep fried unfortunately. The price value ratio is good.

Clear 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!! Aroma is hands down my favorite Chinese restaurant in Berlin! The wide selection on the menu ensures there's something for everyone, and almost everything I've tried tastes solid and authentic. The water spinach and morning glory are always fresh and perfectly seasoned, adding a delightful crunch to my meal. But the real star for me is the grilled pig belly – it's a must-do on every visit, with its tender, juicy texture and incredible flavor. The ambiance is welcoming, and the staff are friendly and attentive, making every dining experience a pleasure. Whether you're craving classic dishes or looking to try something new, Aroma never disappoints. I can't recommend it enough for anyone looking for a top-notch Chinese dining experience in Berlin. Love the food!! Enjoy your next visit to Aroma!

This is actually my favorite restaurant for a year now, I have to come here at least once a month. Everything is always perfect every time I come, most of my friends really like the food here. The staff is very enthusiastic, the food is delicious and authentic, especially the price is very cheap in my opinion. If you come to Berlin, try it, I think you will not be disappointed.

I had been craving dim sum for a while and have known this place for a long time. We ordered duck rolls, har gow, and siu mai. The deep-fried dumplings had a slightly unusual taste in the meat—perhaps the seasoning just wasn’t my preference. The rest of the dishes were decent and delicious. It was a busy Saturday afternoon, so the staff seemed quite occupied and weren’t the most friendly, but the service was understandable given how crowded it was.

Returned after six years, and the quality of food is still the same. Really love the dim sum and the salt and pepper tofu was delicious. The beef ho fun was a bit too greasy so I couldn’t eat too much of it but it’s usually known to be greasy.

I have been there with my family. The main point: food was delicious. Huge variety of different dishes. Athmosphere is adequate. Waiting time: fast enough as expected. Service? They should improve their language abilities. But it was not a big problem. They did their job well. They are attentive and friendly. The price-quality ratio is more than accepted. We are looking forward to having dinner there again. Thanks. Good job. Alle 5 Sternchen.
